I have a go-to men's shirt pattern, and the notch at the top of the sleeve corresponds to a notch on the yoke too. But don't feel bad! I consider setting in a sleeve perfectly with no puckers to be easily the most challenging part of any jacketCarolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03156106727490224625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7423280882029576069.post-66503098565066679872012-03-30T12:54:54.671-07:002012-03-30T12:54:54.671-07:00That's funny, Diana. Once you have a pattern working well, it's a shame not to re-use it.Julie Culshawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14769513959912147953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7423280882029576069.post-35848539656240731422012-03-30T09:53:45.713-07:002012-03-30T09:53:45.713-07:00Oh I just read your last comment. I did the exact same thing last time I made my favorite Burda jean jacket!!I had made it at least four times before but this time it was a problem! Getting older I guess.Dianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12500041147303339117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7423280882029576069.post-28183070043136921062012-03-30T09:51:30.502-07:002012-03-30T09:51:30.502-07:00Hi Julie. This may be a dumb suggestion but if the sleeves are one piece could you just reverse the front to back and vice versa? Just a thought.Dianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12500041147303339117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7423280882029576069.post-62236344371483906182012-03-29T13:47:44.925-07:002012-03-29T13:47:44.925-07:00Oops my mistake on this one. So the dot at the top of the sleeve doesn't match up to that seam, but comes about an inch along the yoke. Fortunately, my sleeves went in okay, despite my overlooking this fact. whew!Julie Culshawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14769513959912147953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7423280882029576069.post-61767350822339622642012-03-28T18:04:05.819-07:002012-03-28T18:04:05.819-07:00Interesting, I wonder if they are not being very c...Interesting, I wonder if they are not being very careful with the drafting these days. I don't think I would have ever found that with older patterns.Julie Culshawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14769513959912147953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7423280882029576069.post-30097331603153145802012-03-28T13:28:08.453-07:002012-03-28T13:28:08.453-07:00I have noticed that also.
